Family Portraits
My photographic style is relaxed and natural. I make people feel comfortable and in return I am able to capture their genuine expressions on film.
A meaningful location is an important ingredient for a great portrait, so I photograph at a site that is special to you. For example, the beach, a favorite park, your home, or some other meaningful place.
Most sessions last about an hour. This gives us plenty of time to try a variety of poses and natural backgrounds and you'll get lots of great photos to choose from. If you have children, I allow time for them to become comfortable with me. I believe in capturing children being children, not just quick posed smiles. One customer was viewing her proofs and her eyes got all misty. She said, "You captured the essence of my children." That's what its all about.
I want your portraits to be perfect, so I attend to all the details, from lighting and composition to proofing and development. I also offer custom framing, so you can choose the frame style and mat colors right in your own home. This way you know the finished product will fit perfectly in the room where you want to display it.
Weddings
My wedding style is a blend of photojournalism and formal portraiture. This gives you the best of both worlds. You get the classic portraits plus candid shots that capture all the emotions and details of your wedding day.

Jane graduated from the New York Institute of Photography in 1989. She is an active member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and the Professional Photographers Association of New England (PPANE). Jane continues to hone her craft by studying with some of the countries finest photographers at the New England Institute of Professional Photographers and at PPA seminars.
